Watbots, with over 600 robots on pre-order, orders new M16 modems from Water Linked

TRONDHEIM, August 19, 2022/– Watbots, one of the most exciting aquaculture tech start-up’s to watch this year, have appointed Water Linked as their supplier of underwater communication technology. This newly developed iteration of the M64 modem, called the M16, will enable the Watbot, the most advanced fish cage cleaning robot on the market, to communicate natively with the base station without signal interference.

Taking advantage of advanced underwater technology has previously been considered a costly and resource heavy operation. Developing such technology is time consuming and requires the brightest and most innovative minds in the business while the number of use cases has been limited to higher-revenue operations.

Water Linked are proud to launch CageSense™ – a wireless sensor system for environmental monitoring in fish farms, following a successful pilot stage at two full scale fish farms during the winter of 2021/22.
